Title: Quick hello
anna - September 21, 2007 06:44 PM (GMT)
I keep getting drawn into asking questions/replying everytime i come on here for a nosy so thought i had better do a quick intro so you don't think its some random weirdo (well you might think that already...... :omg:  ).
Hmm, I suspect most of you know me anyway from other boards but I'm Anna, I'm a complete traitor and we have somewhere in the region of 20 dales ponies, and a couple of irish draughts and a lovely coloured cob. Do lots of showing, breeding and general enjoy our boys and girls. Based in Lincs at the moment but thats a fact that is due to change in the next 6 weeks or so. I hope you don't mind an interloper but i like to keep up with the news/chat from other breeds to broaden my horizons as they say. I LOVED the pics of a chestnut fell. Gorgeous

Oh Anna, you must post piccies of your coloured boy....I'd love to see him  piccies of your girls would be excellent too [especially the preggie girls] - it's seems ages since we caught up girl
The Whistleblower is awesome, biased, yup totally  I love him to bits and he's growing like a stag. The more I look at him, if it's ever possible, I fall in love with him all over again - will dig out some piccies for you so you can check him out
I've had two awesome coloured filly foals this year too - Watermark Milly and Watermark Juniper, strapping lasses and both doing very well, both Piebalds

Gina, you must post or link me to some pics of the whistleblower and the fillies, i'll not forget that timber in a long while  This is Murphy (aka Technicolour Dream Cob)

Had him about 8 weeks now and he's fab, i'm rather smitten
Preggers girls, well we've 5 due next year but these are just some general shots of the herds i took the other day

Thats Lottie, Clemmie, Rosie and Violet i think (L, C & R are full sisters, V is half sister)
and this is our two mares and foals this year, Cherry (bay roan mare) came ot us pregnant and suprrised us with a pb - Dales x trotter we believe - thats the little bright bay filly, the other mare is Fin and her bruiser of a foal called April who now belongs to my sister

Not much else to update really, Big chap (L.B.Magic) took Breed champion at the DPS Summer Breed show and the young colt is coming along well.

Other than that, its all been a slow (and short!) summer, just been out showing as ever. How's the move to Oz going? Do you depart soonish, i can't remember what date you said?
anna - September 21, 2007 08:21 PM (GMT)
 Cross-posted, look at the legs on that colt   He is such a gem and those fillies are another pair of crackers. Mr Smith looks quite overwhemled
Gina - September 21, 2007 08:33 PM (GMT)
Holy Cow Anna - where did you find TDC?? He's gorgeous, and what a WHOPPER too  He should have been called The Moose   I DO LIKE him Anna, very muchus  Is he as light to ride as he looks??
 LBM is as STUNNING as ever, and without suprise takes the breed Champ again, he really is a lover
What's Cherry's full name, should I recognise her????? her foal is a poppet and what a legs  someone needs to tell her to keep her them closer together, it's not sooooo lady like to straddle
The girls looks absolutely fab Anna
Oz - see pony chit chat, long post, but sort of puts you in the picture
anna - September 21, 2007 08:40 PM (GMT)
adtrader Gina   Its the best place for hidden gems i swear, Cherry is Coverdale Carnival Queen, not sure if you should know her or not, we bought her off a dealer from Norfolk and picked her up from a car park at Grantham....as you do
Murph is such a superstar, he is lovely and light to ride but real baby too, worries if he doesn't understand bless him. V.willing and a real trier in life. He's Irish bred 6 year old imported last year by a lady in lincs where he then stood in a field for 8 months before heading to another dealer Hull way which is where we found him. He measured in as 153cm the other night which means we can now do show cob classes next year which should be entertaining :riding:
Cherry's only a 3 year old bless her, apparently spent last summer in a field next to 40 tb/trotter colts (we never found out whether they were tb or trotters ). Seems one forward chappy jumped the fence in to do the diry deed.
Will go catch up on Oz news in a min
Gina - September 21, 2007 08:42 PM (GMT)
Just thought I'd post a picture of The Whistleblowers sire
Gina - September 21, 2007 08:51 PM (GMT)
Crickey Anna, you fell lucky with Cherry didn't you - car park, honestly.....
It reminds me of a story with a lady wanting her mare covered, the only place both parties found situable, stallion owner included was on the M5 services somewhere, :omg: can you imagine what people eating there lunches were thinking and saying
:woohoo: TDC measured under then, you should do well with him without doubt, so far I've not found a dishonest coloured cob, I love to play with that boy
