Title: Hello!
AdamndaleFell - February 25, 2008 11:00 PM (GMT)
Hey, it's brillant to see a forum set up for Fell lovers - What a brillant idea.
Is there any chance that someone can correct the mistake in my name? It's meant to be Adamdale... :( I'm awfully sorry, but I did a hiccup there.
I'm Natasha and I'm a deaf rider - My Fell pony, Adamnale Gipsy Opal has given me the confident to ride on my own!! She is my ears even if she does like to block up half of the road - I think it's her way of letting people know to slow down behind me as I cannot hear cars behind, so they're forced to be slow. Fell are so smart!
It would be nice if anyone know of her 3 sons as well, I would so dearly love to see their photos - I don't know of their names, sadly!
I'm also very keen to put her in foal this year to have a 2009 baby! But I must admit, finding a stallion is like being thrown in a huge shopping mall and you ain't got a clue where to look or go!
I don't think I can stress how much I love Fells... Which we can all understand. :)

Hello Adamdale :welcome2: to Fell Pony Fans, I can tell you that your mare was my first Fell pony. Oppy as we called her was our first as a foal in 1988, she is the one who I refer to on my website!!! There is a picture of Drummer as a foal on the website too :)
She bred us a colt his name is Inglegarth Drummer, he now lives in Barnsley. After that she moved to Norfolk, so the other foals would have been born there. :)

How cute, 'Oppy' hehe. I call her 'Gip-po', I see if she answer to Oppy. That's amazing that you had her before, I would love to see pictures of her in her younger days! And of her son. Is that the son who went off to do trot-racing? Please link your website unless I'm blind and missed it somewhere, then sorry!
She had really helped me, I had zero confident, cut long story short, I got to the point where I was too scared to leave my bedroom! Let alone hang out with more then 2people or a gang. I moved to another house or another bedroom in my eyes and there was a stables right behind my back garden so I went to poo-pick the field in the dark, away from people as horses make me feel alive. Someone wanted to find out who is doing the cleaning up, obviously not a house elf! One lady stayed and met me, asked me to help look after her horse, she then moved yard to where Gipsy was and.... I was watching this lady do a riding lesson when I saw a black pony staring at me for a long time, so I went over and we clicked so much that the owner saw how we bonded that she almost gave her to me on a rather cheap fee as I was jobless and had nothing but Gipsy to pull me through which forced me to get a job .. Scarey! But all for Gipsy! All my 5years have been for Gipsy, without her, I had been lost. I just wanted to share how much she saved me and I can't tell it well! :(

I found your link.
I like how your name says 'it start with one' it so very true. Everyone that meet Gipsy are planning to buy their own Fell when given a chance, if they weren't so pricey! I was just lucky, very lucky to even own a Fell.

What a brilliant pony to help you so much
Just on a more serious note, do you wear a fluorescent tabbart with on it that you are deaf rider? It might help you to make drivers understand why you are not reacting as they would expect.
Have a lovely time with your super pony :lol2:

Got one, nicked my boyfriend's fluorescent jacket and wrote on the back with black marker pen 'Deaf Rider' but we do get the odd people who don't know how to read! :gaah:
Thank you all. She is my hero.
