Hi,

I have just joined this forum and thought i should introduce myself :)

I live in Essex and have two ponies on a privatly leased yard.

One is my sec B mare called Lacey (Wharley Greylight) she is 20yrs old now but normally still in work. she is currently having some time off as she had laminitis a month or two ago.

the other is a black filly I bought about two months ago. I'm not sure of her exact age but i think she's around 6 months old now. she was sold to me as being a 6 month old two months ago but i think in reality she had been a lot younger then that and has changed dramatically.

i don't know her breed but it has been mentioned that she looks like a fell or fell x. she also has blue horn to her hooves which i have been told is distinctive to the breed?!

She stands at 10.3hh tall at the withers at the moment, a bit more at the croup. she is called Piccolo and is extremely sweet and trusting. I have never known a foal to have such a laid back yet cheeky personality. Leads well, stands to be groomed etc which is brilliant as when she came here she was wild and unhandled.

Anyway thats us, oh also might be wise to mention, I also have a cocker spaniel dog and 4 children with the 5th child on its way. I have just started maternity leave from my job as a book keeper. My husband isn't horsey but knows they keep me sane lol.

i don't know anyone else with fells or Dales round here (and not many with horses as i'm on a private yard so don't have other liveries to chat to :wave:

Yeah would be good you can meet my new bot when he's home! Not too far A12 and A130 pretty easy!
There's a few Dales and Fells around but they don't do much!

sounds good...you'll have to come and meet my foal and see what you think of her......i'm not 100% sure she is a fell or fell x but is looking that way. i'll try to get some recent pics soon, she's just shedding foal coat at the moment so looks a bit scruffy. is turning black though.

she's about 10.3hh at the moment and 7 months, not sure if thats what height she should roughly be for a fell or if she's a bit small?

i will try and get some up to date pics soon as Piccolo has changed completely from a few months ago :) (she looked more shetland x then fell x then.) i'm still not sure if she is a fell x though
